Painted Grill

So I have a 23 XLT with the fugly grill what are my options here. I've thought about just painting it black or looking for an eBay grill, although I don't like the idea of taking a raddle can to my truck. I've looked into doing a swap where the grill integrates into the headlights, but not exactly excited about spending a few thousand dollars on that either. Has anyone painted there's or done the swap?

Had the grill on my '22 F450 painted professionally, along with all of the rest of the chrome. Looks great and has held up for going on two years.

buddy with his 23 had the same issue. had it painted, along with the fender badges. Subtle, but made a big difference without having to go to the nicer style grille/headlights. Also did a color matched bumper. Truck looks incredible with the color matched service body.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t think that front end looks bad at all.

I like it too... It's a tough looking grill

Looks fine to me too. Speaking more broadly I don't get the general hate for chrome that a lot of people have, but to each their own.

I think the big problem with the super duty design is the C-clamp around the headlights (both LED versions and Halogen version). The body work should have come up to the headlights and the C-clamp totally gone. My 2 cents.

There are some similarities. Left 17-19 Platinum grill (not on a Platinum) and 23+ XLT on the right.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous and I'm okay with that. One thing that bothers me, more than it should, is when I start my truck on the gauge cluster it shows the integrated style grill/headlight. At least make it match the truck. I know it's a stupid thing to complain about but everytime I start it, it's just a little reminder.
