Hey guys I've got a 95 F250 with a 5.8 in it I've converted it to carburetor with an HEI distributor….
You did that because 40 year old technology is too hard to understand and repair? I assume you are going to keep the truck forever? I think I am in the majority saying that I would never buy an EFI vehicle that had been downgraded to a carburetor. There was thread from a year or so ago by a guy that had bought a carb swapped truck. He had a heck of a time getting things to work. What transmission is in your truck?

Hope it's not too late to change your mind and keep the EFI.
The electric pumps are of the high pressure in tank variety and can deadhead a considerable amount of pressure. That's why a bypass regulator is your only hope and the pressure differential between the 100 PSI those pumps can develop and the 3 to 5 PSI a carb requires is simply too much to regulate reliably. Further, the PCM which runs the EFI system does a clever trick which shuts down the fuel pump if the distributor tach pulses disappear. Between these two problems, a carb conversion represents a serious fire hazard.
If disregarding safety is the right thing to do, grounding the fuel pump test point at the EECIV test connector will run the fuel pump with the ignition on. Please consider the preceding information carefully before doing this.
