Squeeking
Well everyone its my turn to have a problem. My Father has the driveshaft vibration and now my 1998 4x4 ext. cab Ranger has a metallic squeeking noise. I noticed it today when I put it in the garage. There is a big bump from the garage to the driveway and I heard a long metallic squeek. I immediatly started rocking the truck on the passenger's side and it squeeks going up and down. I was thinking "Oh no its the ball joints". But the other side doesn't do it and it wasn't doing it yesterday. The temperature has dropped from about 60 to 35 though. I did put the truck on the jack for a quick look and there doesn't seem to be any play/movement in the ball joints at all. What are the odds that the A-arm bushings are sqeeking when it gets to a certain temp? Thanks for any information you can give me.

Hey FordMan190. Could you do that again, I couldn't quite hear it.
Seriously though, if you can get somebody to rock the truck while you are under it listening, you'd be able to pinpoint the sound better.

Thanks for the help guys... I really "mis-quoted" the sound the front end is making. Its a creeking noise and it makes it when the suspension on the right front moves up and down and when the wheel is turned in either direction. I was looking at Fordparts.com today and noticed they had the upper and lower control arms pretty cheap. Do you guys know if the arms are bare or if they include the bushings and ball joint?
