Bilstein 5100 shocks and steering stabilizer, along with 295/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT4’s set at 55 front and 50 rear. The truck rides so much better than stock!
On my 24 F350 I set the pressures to 65 front and 55 rear. I also installed a set of Fox 2.5's from Accutune with their valving setup. It's a completely different truck in terms of ride. I had Fox 2.0's on my last F250 and they helped improve the ride too.
The wildpeaks are a bit more aggressive than I need or want... It's a canadian truck so it came with Toyo Snow tires.... Not needed much in the desert so I'll be replacing them even tho they have almost new tread.
I'll probably buy a new F-250, mid grade $75,000 and run right down and spend another $1500 or so on shocks and steering stabilizer....and convince myself the ride is better..

I just picked my F350 up from getting the Falken At4 tires. First impressions are pretty good. I had the AT3 on an old F150 and liked them.

No worries. I do like the AT4’s but I was more so trying to convey that the upgraded shocks and tires made quite a difference, both in ride and in handling. I was a bit surprised at how much it improved… I’m sure most aftermarket tires of good quality would produce the same results. As well, new shocks will improve the ride quality. In the case of my Bilsteins, I still know it when I hit a bump, but the truck doesn’t bounce around afterwards. It also feels more planted around curbs, even while towing. Overall, the shocks and tires are definitely worth upgrading over the OE stuff!

Ford dealers are choking on trucks right now. Anyone paying sticker for an F250 this day and age deserves to be taken for some wild rides.
I went from OE shocks with 85k on them to brand new Bilstein 4600s last month. SLIGHTLY better control of bumps and oscillations but not as much of a difference as you'd maybe expect.
For what it's worth, all the data indicated that the 5100s are valved just like the 4600s, only difference is the exterior body of the shock is silver and they are a little longer for lifted trucks.
If your stock shocks are not leaking I would suggest not replacing them until they've got a LOT of miles on them. Like, over 100k.

i picked up a set of used 4600's for my single cab gasser....they gotta have more differences than the 5100's. they compress and extend almost as slow as a twin tube. so maybe theyre at a lower charge than the 5100's. which would explain your experience.

4600 and 5100’s are exactly the same, they just have different lengths and finishes.
