I'll probably buy a new F-250, mid grade $75,000 and run right down and spend another $1500 or so on shocks and steering stabilizer....and convince myself the ride is better..
You seem like your a high roller, but your a bit to high on shock prices….
$535 bucks delivered to my door, pretty silver ones at that.
2022 F350 22,000 miles, I noticed the more I drive it after install, the better it feels…and I didn’t have to convince myself of a damn thing.
I installed the 5100's a few weeks ago. Anybody saying they can't tell a difference is either lying or wouldn't notice if they were missing completely, IMHO. I installed them without my wife knowing and the 1st time she rode in it she mentioned that they must have fixed the bridge connections to the road because they were smoother.
I will be the sole naysayer for the Bilstein steering stabilizer though. Mine is pressurized - it extends to it's fullest length if left alone. A steering damper should NOT be pressurized - it should just offer resistance in both direction of travel. If you have two of them mounted in an opposing configuration I suppose it would be OK but not as a direct replacement for the factory unit. I went with a dual unit and have been happy with how it feels, especially off road. I still have the Bilstein stabilizer here if anyone wants it.
Installed the 2.5 Fox Elites. They did improve the ride. Not sure they improved it $3200 though. I had Fox 2.0's on my last truck and kept blowing through them. Figured I'd try a fully rebuildable shock this time around.
I put a set of Falcon shocks on my truck. They were an improvement over OEM, but I don’t have anything else to compare them to so I can’t say if they are better than some of the more popular options available.
