Hey all, I have a bit of an issue. I have a '66 F100 with a 351 Cleveland and a '89 M5OD transmission. The slave cylinder crapped out and I replaced it along with a new flywheel and clutch. I did all the recommended bleeding procedures and the truck drove well for the first couple of test runs, less than 10 miles. Then yesterday I was in 2nd at about 2500 rpms and it started to buck. I backed off and keep the rpms down around 1500 and limped home. Is this a hydraulic issue or something else?
Also I bought the truck with this setup 7 years ago and giving the pain to replace the slave cylinder I am considering alternatives. I thought about putting in an AOD, that way the wife can drive him. I never messed with an automatic so any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
DISREGARD the above post about the clutch, problem solved. It turned out to be a lose ignition wire connection.
