I have a 2022 F350 that had to have the 3rd brake light/ bed camera replaced due to hail damage. I noticed that I lost the lines in the camera while hooking up to my 5th wheel. I can’t see my hitch from the cab, and the camera lines are helpful. I searched the settings, and can’t seem to find anything. It’s under warranty, before I take it to the dealer, or call the shop that repaired it, is there an easy fix that I’m missing? Thanks
I had mine replaced also I think under a recall or something. Been a while. I remember the guidance line was missing. I took it back and they had to do something to get it back, maybe thru their computer.
I definitely had them from the factory-22 platinum. I used them all the time when hooking up my 5th wheel. When I had a roll up tonneau cover I could just look over my shoulder and see the hitch, the folder cover that I have now gets to thick and I loose my visual.
I have a 2022 with a CHMSL camera and there are most definitely lines. I use the center dotted line to align my goosebox with my gooseball in the bed when hitching. I would go back to the dealership. Ill take a picture later when I have to go somewhere and upload it.
I stand corrected. I went out and put the truck into reverse. Selected the CHMSL camera from the touchscreen and there was the dotted line showing down the center of the tonneau cover.
It had to be there before. I guess I hadn’t used it often enough or paid enough attention to it. Another bit of knowledge picked up from FTE.
As far as the original topic I haven’t delved into any settings to see if it can be turned off and on.

Hi there. Feel free to send us a DM with your vehicle's VIN and mileage. We'd like to look into getting you assistance with your bed camera.
I would guess who ever did the replacement didn’t use the oem camera. I have seen a video with a aftermarket replacement camera and it did not have the line.
