manual swapping

I'm gearing up for a manual swap on my 1984 f150. it came stock with a C6 auto. I believe I have all that i need. pedal assembly, fly wheel, clutch, master+slave cylinders, and the transmission itself. also have drive shafts and a few miscellaneous parts from the manual truck. my question is looking at the firewall from the engine bay side. it looks like i'll have to cut out a spot for the master cylinder, i haven't looked under the dash yet so i could be wrong. does anyone know where to base my cut off of or any advice? while i'm here is there any other trip ups i'm gonna come across?

I think they say there are little in-dents where the master gets mounted that you can use as a pattern for making the holes but not 100% on that as I have an 81 manual and it uses linkage and I dont know if it would even have the marks as it is before the juice clutch came out?

Only other thing I can think of is the firewall re-enforce plate for the master.
With out it the firewall can flex and crack causing issues.

When you get your pedals installed the pin on the clutch arm should line up with the master location. I think there is an indent there to guide you. You might consider getting a firewall reinforcement plate. The one from Bronco Graveyard will show you right where the master goes. Depending on how you drive the firewall will likely fail. In city driving lots of clutching 40,000 miles, highway driving maybe 200,000 miles. YMMV.
