This forum is about Aerostars, whose production ended in 1997, and is not at all like your Escape. The Duratec 3.0L v6 that is in your Escape was never used in the Aerostar, and is quite different from the Vulcan 3.0L v6 in the Aerostar. So I'm guessing there is not a lot of knowledge about it here.A
I would suggest getting an OBD-II code reader to try and get some codes from your engine computer and go from there. And find a Duratec or Escape discussion board where you're more likely to find users that are more knowledgeable about your car.
