How many leaf spring rebound clips should i have per side on 93 LB F150 2WD? I only see one on each side toward the front of the leaf springs. None toward the rear of leafs. Are they missing or is that the way it was designed? I've seen pictures of trucks both ways. Thanks
Well, I guess that's good that I'm not missing them. Sometimes when turning, I hear a popping sound under the bed, haven't been able to find the cause. The bottom leaf on right side is shifted a bit or not in line with the rest of the leafs, but I don't guess the clips matter since it doesn't look like they go around that leaf anyway. Wondering why that leaf would have shifted around and if that could be the cause for the popping.
are you talking about these? If your pack is as small and weak as mine is here, it probably only has them on the front because the springs need to flatten out a lot more under load vs having a larger pack and the clips would probably fall off with such a change in sspring Or, they had them and thats why they are no loinger there It seems to me the function of the clips is to prevent what you see here( my springs are bent and old and rusty so im not surprised!) and also to prevent "fanning" which is when they separate from eachother but distance from eachother like your fingers in an open hand instead of touching like when together.
