I'm actually looking at buying either an enclosed trailer or an open atv trailer. Was looking for some real world MPG numbers for guys who have a 6.2l with 4.30 rear end towing. The trailers I'm considering is a V-nose deck over at 8.5' wide x 20' long aluminum four place snowmobile trailer. The other trailer is a 88"x18' long open aluminum trailer for 4 atvs. I'd be hauling 4 atv's from Michigan to places like Colorado at least once a year. Just looking for opinions on what to get and if it's worth the loss on MPG's to have extra room in the trailer for gear and such. Thanks in advance!!!

I have a 2019 F-250 6.2L with 4.30. Towing a 30' travel trailer about 8000lbs at 65mph I get about 8 - 9 MPG. Not towing around town I get about 11.5mpg and best highway not towing at 65mph I got 15.5mpg. Truck is totally stock with AT tires. 10 speed transmission would probably be a little better. Always use 87 octane and I am in Florida. Hope that helps. I love the truck wish I could get a little better MPG, but maintenance is minimal so that offsets some fuel milage.
2019 250 CCLB with 4.30 here also. 35’ travel trailer with similar weight as Scott and seeing nearly identical MPG running through PA and VA. FWIW the truck had 15 miles when I bought it, now just over 51k on the clock and the lifetime MPG is 13.8 from what the truck tells me, never cared enough to hand calculate it. Hope this helps.
2018 F350 6.2 4.30 towing a 22 foot enclosed aluminum trailer with a mustang inside, guessing 7-8K. If I keep it under 65, I can get 9 mpg. Anything faster and it drops closer to 8. A v-nose would definately help, mine has a flat front and you can feel the parachute behind you. I also found I get slightly better mpg and less up/down shifting if I lock out 6th gear with the cruise control on. Taking this setup from NJ to TN next week, trading in the truck when I get home and my 24 CCSB 6.7 should be here, shows it was built last weekend. Going to a 28 ft trailer with a wedge nose and 9 ft height once Intech builds it since my Saleen F150 Sport Truck simply won't work with my ATC.
20 ft enclosed trailer with 6.2 is going to be a long ride from MI to CO. Can’t see you getting much more then 8 mpg.
Bingo. I just posted information on another thread about my 7.3's. But I also owned a few 6.2/3.73 trucks that towed a 7x18 enclosed with 4 motorcycles, tools, a couple of trailer spare tires and luggage for 4. The 6 speed versions screamed in the hills and I always hated that. But with both the 6 speed and 10 speed I was from 7.5 to 9.5 MPG on my annual vacation trips.
