have a 2008 f450 with the reverse sensing switch, it is always in the off position looking for a replacement switch
ones that I've found have P on the switch and the one I have has a R on it.
any idea's on where to find one ford says I have to order the entire 4x4 switch bezel with the reverse sensing switch in it
and is obsolete, none available

Are you saying the switch is always lit up saying it’s “off”? If that is correct then the switch is fine and you have either bad sensors or the PAM (Park Aid Module) is bad.
You could use forscan with the recommended adapter would tell you for sure. The other thing I have heard people say is if you put the truck in reverse (not running) you can hear each sensor tick, I can’t hear that myself but apparently you put your ear up to each sensor and whichever one doesn’t tick is bad. Now that is only helpful if it’s a sensor issue, the speaker on the PAM module can go bad also, this is where a scan tool like forscan helps as it will tell you what’s wrong.
