4.0 Engine Replacement
My brother recently pulled the engine out of his 2006 Ranger to replace the tensioners. We are having troubles getting the engine to go back in and mate up with the transmission. We have a bottle jack holding up the front of the trans because it "floats" and is too low to meet the engine. But by the time we get the flex plate into the bell housing the engine mount bolts don't want to line up. So I am writing this to see if anyone has any pointers because I have not ever had to fight this hard to put an engine back in.
