Real world value is highly dependent on location and condition. What some people will see as a rough, rotted out junker in one part of the country that you couldn't get 2 squirts for, could be seen as a great deal somewhere else. Best advice would be to take a good, honest look at your truck from a buyer's perspective and then look at ads in your area, craigslist, marketplace, classic autotrader, see what people are asking, and note how long the ads are up for. If a similar truck has been advertised for months for 5K and still hasn't moved, there's a real world indicator it's too much money. If you see several come and go quickly at 5K, that's where your market is.
