Hi I would like to convert my single wheel 1997 F350 to a Dually I already have a pick up Dually rear axle and bed but want to know if my front Dana 60 is the same as a factory Dually 4 wheel drive axle or is it different ? Do I just need to add the Dually hubs to my axle ? Thanks
You have a couple options. The proper hubs can be hard to find, but that is the conventional way to mount them.
My truck is not conventional. You can do what I have if you want. Since you have a ball joint d60, you can actually mount the SD 99-04 knuckles onto your housing. This allows you to run the sealed unit bearing setup amd the beefy SD style tie rods. The drw 4wd SDs just have a big adapter that bolts onto the hub.
Things to consider, you'll need to run SD rotors and calipers/pads. You have to knock out the outer studs and redrill for the OBS 8x6.5. The SDs run a metric pattern.
Would the ram 3500 front spacers work on the factory OBS axel? I know ram used the 8x6.5 bolt pattern all the way till like 2019 and the 2wd models had them as well so they would be much easier to find

The bokt pattern is the same but the hub bore is different. Eiher the hubs or wheels would need machined
