add a leaves

I noticed that a set of add a leaves for the F350 and F250 superduty is only $100. They claim to add 1.5 inches of lift. I think this would level out the X nicely. Has anyone tried this, or am I all wet?

I installed 33" tires and new wheels and tried the add-a-leaf. Not my choice, the store whom sold them and installed them was supposed to install new leaf springs. I tried the add-a-leaf since they installed them. Had nothing but problems which I have heard. They squeaked like crazy and made the ride much harder. If you are going to lift the truck, I suggest using the skyjacker soft ride leaf springs. I have installed them now and love-em. Truck looks great even though I really did not want to go 4" lift, it is the only way to lift and get a better ride. Add-A-Leafs %&^*##$ and are not even worth the $ 100.00
Oh, and don't use the store whom I bought them from.

I don't know if you got a V10 or PSD but the best bet is to probably change out the front springs to SD springs. You'll get some lift and more travel. If you don't have the information as to choices, I'll be happy to provide it to you.
