We had a pretty heavy and consistent rain all night last night, and now the cargo are carpet is damp. Does anyone know what might be leaking? I know for sure the back windows were all the way in and the tri-panel hatch was secure.
Whew! That's a tough one! I guess I'd dry it and see if I could recreate it with a garden hose. (provided it's warm enough where you live.) Is the whole back area wet? Or just one part? Anywhere else in the truck wet?
I have heard that the back vent windows
have a problem leaking from time to time.
Something about them not having a good seal.
You might wanna look into that.....

I plan to try to recreate it as soon as I get home. I live in the burbs of Atlanta so it isn't too bad here. The whole cargo are up til about 6 inches from the 3rd seat.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 25-Jan-02 AT 02:27 PM (EST)]The rear AC is on whenever the front is on. So even is the blower isn't blowing back there you could still get some condensation. The AC is on when the front switch is on; A/C , head/foot, defrost/foot & defrost. Vent and foot do not activate the AC. His suggestion is cerainly worth a check. If it's wet behind the panel where the jack and A/C/heater is, then he probably is right, unless, of course, the passenger side seal is FUBAR and it leaked into there too.
I don't think its the rear AC, I looked behind the side panel and it is bone dry around the jack. I believe JOEBOOST may be on to something. I am waiting on the wife to get home so I can get the water hose after it and she can check to see where it is leaking. Thanks for all the input guys.
Had this problem with my old Yukon. The garden hose idea worked, but only after I removed the entire interior from the back seats to the barn doors. I hope you have better luck finding the leak than I did.
It was the rear vent windows. I found out something interesting. When closing the windows, they shut and then the motor pulls them tight for the seal. You need to keep the button pressed until the motor stops (which is denoted by the noise that it makes). The problem is that with the PSD and a radio on you can't hear the motor, so you hust have to make a mental note to keep the button pressed a little longer.
