What is this?
It's on the negative side of the passenger battery, between the post and the actual wire.
Im hooking up the ground wire for my Amp and just wandering if it matters if I put my ground wire on either side of that?

gas truck? looks like the wire you would unplug if you wanna disable the autostop/start.
but yea you can undo that 8mm and throw a ring terminal on it and put the nut back on.

I believe it is a sensor to measure current draw on the battery.

After more research it looks like it's a BMS Battery Monitoring System, still researching it.

I would put it right on top so that it would measure that load as well, or just ground the amp to the chassis.

Found a pretty good video on a f150 forum. Looks like I'll put it after the sensor just like you suggested.

LOL, forty years ago, before the internet had videos, we probably would just ground it to the frame!
