I need to add more power to my Excursion (V-10) but I'm on a budget. I would like to add a supercharger but that is way out of the picture. I had a JET chip on my 97 F150 w/ 5.4L and I loved it. I had no problems at all. I can't seem to find their website but I can find Superchip's and Diablo's sites. I am not familiar with Diablo and have good and bad about Superchip. What is everyone else using and what kind of real world results are you getting? Any help would be appreciated.
Great, thanx for the feed back. For me the power of the stock V10 is just find I'm not looking to turn a 7000+ Lbs. truck into a Mustang. But, if I happen to increase HP by increasing MPG then that's a bonus.
I would like to try a computer chip but if they all require to use high octane fuel to run with out pre-ignition this will defeat the purpose. Is there a chip program available that does not require high octane fuel?
What are the implications if I install a Diablo chip and then I am not happy with the performance and deside to return to the original? Is this even an option?
You just pull the chip module out and it returns to stock. If you aren't happy with it you can return it during the 30 day money back period and get a refund (both Diablo and Superchips has this guarantee).
