23-24 lighted cup holders

Ok guys im gauging interest here soley because im trying to decide if this is worth investing in. Theres no factory option to replace the super duty cup holders, Ford completely changed it probably to accommodate the larger yeti cups and stuff everyone carrys now days. So in order for me to make this possible I will have to design a light ring that will fit the 23 cup holders and allow them to light up. How many of these do you guys think would sell? this isnt a selling thread or anything like that this is strictly gauging interest. with that said and the way the super duty cup holders are designed, the light ring would no longer be at the bottom of the cup holders but at the top like in the pictures. again this is about an investment of my time/money and would this be something people would want.

Looks very nice. I don't have a 23 or 24. But that is definitely something I would consider, for sure.

On A side note, you were or are putting together a kit for the 2022's, correct? If so, I'd like to get one for my 2022 platinum.

Honestly, that is not something I would add to my Super Duty FWIW

Definitely interested for my 2023. I used your harness on my 2022 and it worked perfectly!

I don't have a '23 or '24 but dependent on cost I would add them. I used your cable for my '22.

Not possible to to do it that way on the 23-24, Ford has completely redesigned the cup holder(im assuming to hold the larger and larger cups people seem to carry nowdays). The 17-22 cup holders you could remove the bottom and put the light ring in. The 23+ the cup holder is one peiece and cannot be taken apart. Beyond designing a whole cup holder, prototyping it, paying to have it injection molded, its not possible. Ive spent nearly 500$ of my own money trying different cup holders from ford to see if there was a direct fit. theres, not.

I’m definitely interested. You’re the ambient lighting guru for Ford!

Fudge... I responded last night that I am in. I think there will be demand because Ford has reduced its offering for everything ambient since 2022. Must have forgot to hit the Post button.

No worries, this is simply a feeler. I am trying to decide if this will be worth my time/investment. if there is enough interest I will have it designed and work on prototyping a part. I am trying to decide what is the best way to produce this. Im torn between 3d printing, 3d resin printing, or acrylic injection molding. the last option being the most expensive/time consuming.

If you could add some under dash and under front seat and back seat lighting to match, now that would be super cool….even if it would just be the lights and we’d have to run our own wires.

I've seen these battery powered drop-in discs I think it was from F150leds. They are all a little flashy, and seems goofy running some battery op thing in the console. Maybe a more subtle version that could be hardwired using an OEM light part so the color matched would work. CNC a piece of plexiglass that sits down in the cupholder, bury an LED in it and paint the top so just the edge lights up. Just thinking out loud
