2024 4x4
But what's the process for engaging 4WD?
I got stuck in sand yesterday on a job site and only having -900 miles on the truck have never used the 4WD. I did get it into 4H and got out easy.
Question is there's only one locking hub on drivers side so I jumped out, locked the hub and scrolled through the drive modes until 4H displayed. I didn't realize the 4H selector was a push button,,,,duh
I'm really OCD about new stuff so wanna make sure I didn't screw something up. I read where you should go in reverse after being in 4x4 to make sure its not locked. I didn't do that. That's why I like having a real owners manual not having it downloaded.
Also can someone explain what these vents and what looks like a speaker are? I searched the online manual and found nothing . And the " vent on the left with what seems to be a button under it. Man I miss a simple truck...Yes I'm an old man
Her 1st day at work
You didn't hurt anything by not going in reverse. I could be wrong, but going in reverse would be something you would try if 4wd was not disengaging.
The small grills in the overhead are where the interior motion sensors are located. Part of the security system. I don't know what the one is at the base of the mirror.
Think of how many Super Duties are used a rentals and fleet vehicles.
