Valve knock

I have a small valve knock on the passenger side of the engine and i was wondering if yall would know how to fix it. the truck runs great otherwise and hasnt thrown any error codes. But i wanna set valve clearance on the engine anyway. Do yall have the specs? I already have all the torque specs in the world i could need, i just need valve clearance specs and if yall have any other suggestions let me know.

All the engine offerings use some form of hydralic lash adjusters. They are fed by oil pressure and take care of the rest.

Did you transplant a detroit diesel 4-71 under the hood or a 4BT?

You have what are called positive stop rockers or otherwise non-adjustable valves
If a 5.4 , you have HLAs under the rockers
Either type is not adjustable with a conventional feeler gauge
The HLA takes up the slack
If a conventional pushrod motor, you might have a flat cam lobe or a sticking or plugged up lifter
Saying what you are driving is a good first step
