Crank but no start
ok guys, i have an 00 expedition 5.4 and recently its started cranking but not starting…i have noticed if its sitting at an incline its almost like its out of gas, but if you pat the gas it will start “sometimes” but will idle like i mentioned “like its out of gas”…once you get it going it runs fine, then it will start idling almost like the IAC may need cleaned or replaced…what you guys think?

Fuel pump, fuel filter ... How many miles on the fuel pump and fuel filter ? There's a check valve in the fuel pump that retains pressure in the fuel line for easy startups. Try cycling the ignition ON and OFF 2 or 3 times before you try to actually start it and see if it helps. If it does, then the fuel pump's check valve is bad. You have to replace the fuel pump to fix it. Other than that it could be a dozen other things....
