Hi guys! I have a 2023 Ford f-550 super duty.
It has upfitter switches. I bought a dual row lightbar that draws 11.6 amps according to the mfg(Aurora). I have 6 switches. My question is which switch should I use?
I have no idea how many amps each switch is capable of. Thx.
5 and 6 are the highest rated amperage, and they are also the switches that can be setup to work with the key off, if you need that.
But, yes, all are rated high enough for an 11.6 amp draw.
That's good to know guys. Great information.
I'll be sure to post about the install once I do it.
Thank you and have a great day gentlemen.
Here are some examples of posts you might receive from the helpful folks at FTE, after you post your light bar install........
Won't have anything to do with your install..... Other than to remind you of the unintended consequences of your your decision to install one of those things... LOL
"From @Ltngdrvr: Y'all please turn these things off when other traffic is near, either when following behind someone or when coming on from the opposite direction."
"From @Black Buzzard: Unfortunately the highways are full of retina-melting aftermarket lighting fools."
"From @Ltngdrvr: I drive 75K or more miles a year and every single night on the road I get accosted by people who have no courtesy about these things, and it creates a very dangerous situation."

Yeah I'll probably get some criticism for it I'm sure but I want to assure The forum that I use it sparingly and never near other traffic. As a hot shot driver I do a lot of night driving and require extra lights on the truck to keep me out of trouble. I used to have Rigid lights on the front of my wrecked truck plus a LED Unity spotlight. I don't know how many times those lights kept me from running off the road or hitting a deer or something. Unfortunately I did not have any of those lights on when I hit the cow in Corpus Christi Texas. If I would have had some of those lights on I would not have hit the cow but I was being respectful of oncoming traffic at the time. Just my luck.

Well BUBBA, you're the one that posted this here on this thread, not me.
So, go cry about it somewhere else.

Agree, but it's not just aftermarket lights anymore, some stock vehicles have insane headlights. And "Consumers Complaints" keeps downgrading vehicles, if they don't have the
lights shining like daylight, 1/2 mile down the road. So car manufacturers obliged and now these super bright headlights are not even aligned correctly (or bleed over so much, it
does not matter).
That said, I did a small light bar. Occasionally, going to remote offroad parks in the middle of nowhere, they are handy for parking (and towing) in an unknown field lets say, in pitch black.
But they should be illegal on road, if there is ANY chance of traffic.
