#3 is someone’s else disaster sprinkled with magic dust.
#1 or #2. The broken glow-plug tip is a symptom of what really happened, and that is very likely a valve broke. 2011's with a build date prior to March 2011 were prone to broken valves. There was an engineering change post March 2011 to resolve the issue. you can search this forum for the problem, and get more info.
