I recently bought a truck and it has an oil leak. It is a 2011 ford f350 super duty 6.7 turbo diesel. If you could help me out in any way in what parts I need to fix it or where it’s coming from would be super helpful. I attached some photos of where it seems to be coming from.
For tracking down the leak, what has worked for me in the past is to work from the lowest furthest point back on the vehicle where the fluid is to the highest most forward point where the fluid stops. Leaks can be tricky because of all the air flow blowing them around. Once I have evaluated the flow of the leak and noted the most suspicious areas, then I clean the leak up and re-produce it. Having a clean area to work with and knowing there is a leak should let you track down the source easier.
