I have a 1957 F 100 I put a cv front axle in and I am running a 9" in the rear. I flipped the rear axle and C notched the frame and she sits a little to low in the rear. What can I do to get the back end up a little? Thanks
Try putting a longer shackle in the back. When I was a kid we'd do it to raise the rear ends up to give our stuff a raked look. You use to be be able to get those shackles everywhere but now they're probably lots harder to find.
Thanks for the idea. I had to flip the shackle mount to get it to sit right.
Could you post a picture of how you did everything in the rear and a picture of how it sits? I need to lower the rear in my 59 and I am trying to figure out the best way.

This is what I did to lower my 59. I used rear hangers and shackles from Sid’s dropped axles https://droppedaxles.com/other-parts. It was as simple as removing the old hangars and installing new spring bushes and hardware. Give Sid a call, very helpful.
