Ok ..... Ok ..... OK ..... OK ..... What the hell is new? ..... ..... .....
An obvious guess is the world is still waiting. ..... ..... ..... ..... ...... ....... ........ ---------------------------------- ........................................ 10 YEARS MAKES SENSE !
I saw that in Automotive News yesterday, and that article put more emphasis on the regular F150s on hold as well. Has anyone read about what's causing the delays?
I keep hoping they identify something with their battery line that's causing these module failures.
There's a slew of Lightnings for sale on dealer's lots in my area right now. Perhaps shipments have been halted just to control inventory and keep the price up.
As Ford enthusiast, I'm actually more concerned about why there's not a new Ranger 2023/24 to be had any where. If I buy another Ford, the Ranger with the 2.3L ecoboost will be it as that drive train is currently Ford's champion.

GM has done that with their Silverado/Sierra trucks, but Ford never stopped making them. If this were about inventory management, they wouldn’t’ keep building them and piling them up in storage lots. Especially because of the implications it has on the brand.
Just like the ICE F150 and Blazer stoppages, this screams quality problems. That’s awful for transaction prices.

Unless it's becomes a safety recall via NHTSA or too many houses burn down, you'll never hear about it.

Last I heard for 2023 MY vehicles, there are somewhere around 60-70k unsold ICE F150s and about 15k unsold lightnings on dealer lots.

That, is indeed bad. The brand new 4th gen Tacos are coming out swinging with I4 turbos, if Ford cannot get its act together the midsize market could be handed back to Toyota on a silver platter. That 2.3 EB motor is keeping Broncos going for those buyers who are scared of the 2.7 V6.
Ford has been having problems scaling production of the Ranger, and the UAW strikes didn’t help. Looks like they are starting to ramp things up, though.

F-150 Lightning = lousy product, Total Turkey, surprised it's even still being sold.
Can't believe they're still pumping those ridiculous range figures ---State AGs need to haul them into court. The good news is independents are flagging the problem - AAA for example found that hauling at /near capacity drops the range by 25%

I disagree as will majority of members here who actually own a Lightning. It's not for all owners requiring a truck but for majority it is a great fit.
If mine were lost/stolen I would buy another one immediately. My first EV was a 40 kwh 2015 Nissan Leaf that I couldn't make the 100 mile trip from the dealership to home without stopping for a 2 hour charge. I bought it as a local only vehicle. We have come a long way since.
In my opinion a Lightning is a wonderful product if you are not a renter or apartment dweller. It's quiet, fast, rides great, roomy and has the range needed for the vast majority of owners. Yes, it doesn't have range for towing an RV, but how many 1/2 ton trucks are RV haulers? That why I have a diesel F-450.
In 9 years of EV ownership and over 120,000 miles driven EVs I've only charged 6 times other than my home. I wake up every morning charged to 90% with an easy 250 miles of range with my Lightning.
If I were using a truck for road trips I would buy a powerboost.
