Just want to make sure I am not going down the wrong rabbit hole here but boy do I feel dumb. I have been putting off changing my spark plugs because I didnt want to break them off in the head. Then in an earlier post it was pointed out to me I have a 2 valve. This made me do some digging and found F250s didn't get a 3 valve until 2005.
I have a 2004 F250 5.4 which means its a 2 valve not a 3 valve and breaking plugs will not be an issue since the 2 Valve was known for spitting plugs. (Which has been mitigated by an 8 thread plug.) Am I correct? Also any recommendations on plug brand or should I just stick with Motorcraft?

Stick with Motorcraft. The improvement over the earlier 2V heads was an increase in spark plug hole threads in the heads, not a difference in the actual plugs. Torque the new plugs to 26/28 ft/lbs and they should be good to go. Also be sure to install new rubber boots and springs along with the new plugs with a dab of dielectric grease on both ends of the new springs.
Thanks for the input. Just an update, I posted this in another thread regarding PIDs I am looking into, but I did complete a plug change. The truck runs so much better now, and I got rid of a ticking that I assume was a leak from cylinder 2 since it was only finger tight. This was what the plugs looked like (Not sure if they had all 80K on them or not.)
