On my 2019 F-150 5.0 on the passenger side of the engine there is a loud ticking noise. Ford deler claimed its normal and showed me TSB about it.
Someone else said its because of a second fuel pump???
It sure is a depressing sound especilly at a drive thru.
Truck only has 40,000 miles.
Why is it so noisy?

Why is it so noisy?
The high-pressure injectors on many of late model F150s can be pretty loud. I did not think it would be as loud on the normally aspirated ones (like the 5.0); mostly the EcoBoost ones. However, maybe they're using the same injectors regardless?
So does this 2019 have 2 fuel lines that contribute to the noise? I had a '17 with 5.0 and it was quiet. My friend has a '17 that also sounds quiet/normal.
Why is my engine so noisy and Ford says its normal?
In 2018 the 5.0 was updated to include direct cylinder injection in addition to the port injection, and the cylinders are "plated" instead of iron liners. Perhaps thees updates contribute to the increase in noise compared to your 2017. I know my 2019 5.0 is a rather busy sounding engine.
The 2018 and up 5.0 is known for the ticking, as mentioned above. Mine is very noticeable. However, there is no reason that I know of it would be louder on one side vs. the other? And if it's the "normal" ticking, you should have noticed it from new, it's not something the develops over time.
I bought the truck used 5000 miles ago. FYI
But it is louder on pass. side also there are feul lines on the top side pass side.
Plated seems like good thing.
