How strong are??
The D50TTB front and the Full floating 10.25" rear end. In an 88 F-250. I don't do any hardcore stuff, but I would like to know how well they will hold up if I decide to. I can't (money/time) swap to a solid axle front, either (first thing that comes to mind for most of us). Right now it is sitting stock tires and height. It may be lifted in the future. What are the weak points of either. Thanks for the help.

The Dana 50 front axle is very strong. Strong enough for what most of us will throw at it, unless you plan on doing some pretty radical stuff I wouldn't worry about it. The Sterling rear end is extremely strong, more durable than the Dana 60 which is a very popular rear end. The only drawback to the Sterling is that it doesn't offer as much ground clearence as others like the Ford 9".
