Another example of shrinkage. I didn't keep records, but I'm sure the 26oz bottle cost as much as the 32oz bottle. Interesting that both of them treat 100gal.
Both say they treat 100 gallons... so it's like buying a concentrated version. As long as it treats the same amount I wouldn't consider that shrinkage.
They must have reworked the formula and changed the treat rate. I wonder if the formula change allowed a price drop or if it stayed the same because it treats the same quantity.
I never considered that they might change the formula based on container size; guess it is possible. If you look at their web site, the dosage changes among bottle sizes. In the real world, it probably does not matter. I just dump a few ounces in when I refuel; nothing accurately measured.
One site selling the product said the 26oz replaced the 32oz size. Like above, I noticed information is still available for both on the Power Service site 🤷🏻♂️.
Not the same thing, but the 16oz Stanadyne Lubricity formula I use treats up to 125 gallons, I recently noticed they also have an 8oz size of the same product that only treats 15 gallons....that 8oz size must have a lot of useless filler.
Stanadyne is sold at Amazon at 1$3.41 per bottle when bought in the two pack.
One 16oz bottle treats 124 gallons. Directed use is 8oz to 62 gallons.
Your 32 gallon tank will take 4oz, which means each bottle serves four fill ups.
Each fill up then costs $3.35.
Does it improve fuel mileage?
Hot Shots Secret, also improves lubricity and boosts cetane for improved fuel mileage is sold at Amazon at $17.98 per bottle.
One bottle treats up to 400 gallons of fuel. Directed use is 1oz per 25 gallons of fuel. You can use 2oz for "performance".
Your 32 gallon tank will take 1.28oz, which means each bottle serves ~12.5 fill ups.
Each fill up then costs $1.44.
Don't trust my math as it was/is my worst subject. My hat's off to Jerry Seinfeld; "Shrinkage"

Prices are crazy on Amazon now, I just bought 32oz round bottle 23 Oct for 27.99 and it's now 33.14...WTH
Go to the hotshots website, cheaper and there's a coupon "crazyhorse" or "dragchamp" for 20% off and free shipping. Enjoy!
$70.74 shipped (including tax) for 3 32oz Bottles - that's 22.93 before tax, $23.58 with tax (Virginia)
$.92 for 32 gallon tank
$1.38 for 48 gallon tank
$.72 per 25 gallons
double everything if you want the performance rate.
But one has a slick new label! The USPS contractor that I drive box truck for occasionally uses the heck out of Power Service white bottle and keeps some PS 911 red bottle on hand for single digit and below zero weather.
Get less, pay more. But that is NOT inflation. Just ask your favorite politician!!! (Or salesman, marketing department, liar, whatever term you want to use as they are all the same). Now NOT a political statement.
Without an independent lab analasys verifying that there is a real difference on a product, there is no difference.

Stop it with the political comments. I just provided a solution above that shows a great price, 20% discount and it's all good. Amazon and the sellers are creeping up on prices because of convenience. I stopped price comparing with Amazon for some time but now I'm back to search beyond them.

For the most part Amazon is a first stop for me to get a price. Then I shop around and often end up finding a better price someplace else. I gave up Prime because there seems to be no such thing as 2 or 3 day shipping anymore. Many time I find an Amazon seller that ships for free without Prime. I never used their streaming service to begin with but now they want extra money to avoid commercials with it. It's become a case of pay more to receive the same as before or less.
Let's keep this light, I was just commenting that the bottle size changed; just like my quart of ice cream is no longer a quart. We have tons of threads about which additive to use.
