Driver side battery cables

I have an 08 6.4 and as far as I can tell, there are only 2 cables that hook up to the positive terminal on the driver side battery. 1 cable connects to the passenger side battery but I can’t figure out where the other cable goes, and I can’t follow it cause it’s routed underneath the fuse box and then vanishes. This cable is draining my batteries, it gets red hot when I try to crank the truck. Any suggestions?

Take this as you will, but you need to chase that wire. Plenty of diagrams out there.

There are two leads to the battery. Your main concern should be voltage spikes to the ECM which will roast the truck.

Cut the looms for the cable, wiggle and follow. Don't be lazy.

You need to replace that unit or you suffa.
