Questionable warrantee procedures

I have an2018 ecoboost f150 xlt.i keep having the check engine light come on then turn off again.i checked code and it's P00c6. Fuel rail pressure to low engine cranking. So says I have bad fuel pump. Call dealership because truck is under Warrentee only to have them refuse to even check my truck unless check engine light is on.they say Ford won't let them do anything to my truck without light on. Does anyone know if this is ford policy or just ****ty dealerships?

They should be able to read the codes. Find another dealer.

"IF" you can catch the CEO light on and get it to a dealer, they will "have a reason to check it". The TRICK is to NOT SHUT IT OFF that way the light is on when they see it. Shows reason for concern. OR you could try getting a pic of it on and the mileage showing, as proof. JUST DO NOT SHUT THE TRUCK OFF !!!
