Hey yall, i have a 1993 f250 w/ the 5.8 v8 and duel tanks. i Have a few questions, because my check engine light keeps coming on and off. When im driving down the road, with no warning my check engine light will pop on and i will lose engine power. but not all engine power, my truck just wont react the same to acceleration at all. But then a few minutes down the road the light will turn off and the truck will seem fine. I was wondering if this could possibly be the fuel pump? but im not sure if that could trip the check engine light? thanks for any help!

 

I can tell you that if a fuel pump was not supplying enough fuel it would not put a code out for the fuel pump on a OBDI system but other systems could fault if there wasn't enough fuel. Of course you should have this looked at by a trained perfessionial.
