resonators
what is a resonator, i have a 5.0 tbird and it has 3 cats 1 resonator and 2 mufflers. i already put 2 flows on it it sounds pretty good at ecceleration and cruising but i want it louder. if i just cut the resonator off will it be louder. i want to cut everything off except for the flows but i need a pipe bender and a little y pipe or a shop that will cut the cats off willingly.

On my old 95 4.6 v8 bird I cut off the third cat and resonator and replaced them with a 40 series single in/dual out flowmaster then ran dual 2.5" pipes out the back to two 24" long 4" dia. tips. the sound would put most mustangs to shame. Everyone used to ask me if I had a built up 5.0 under the hood.

is the 95 a unibody or does it have a frame because my 91 has no frame and it has room for just the stock pipes. i can take stuff off of it bit it still has to be in the same spot as.
