Tire question
285/75 R 16 or 305/70 R16. What did the size change do to your MPG and power (if any). Any other issues to consider when making the switch from 265's. Thanks. Kevin
I saw no power or MPG changes switching from OEM 265 Firestones to 295 BFG's. Main thing to watch for is front turning
clearance if you are not going to lift it. Much larger than 295 and you have to watch for the bead popping (OEM rims not designed for larger tires needing wider rims).
Anyway, see the FAQ here for lots more tire info and more.

I'm going to upgrade to the Bridgestone Revo's (285/75X16's) on my stock rims with a leveling kit on my 02 SD CC 5.4L 4X2. I've done a good amount of research, and don't anticipate any problems, especially with the leveling kit for front clearance.
