Hi, i have a 2004 F250 with a 6.0(early model) I am about to do a HPOP replacement and I am trying to gather a list of other things in the general area that is a good idea to replace also, I already know of the head gaskets/studs. Also if anyone has recommendations on parts would love to hear them thanks!
Any reason why you want to do the head gaskets? Do you have a known leak? Oil cooler and EGR need to be at a minimum checked, but would recommend replacing.
The other MUST…..move this post over to the 6.0 section of the forum. You’ll get way more activity and recommendations over there. That side of the fence will teach you everything you need to know about these engines.
Yes I believe I have a very small leak in one of my head gaskets, it’s not enough to change the color of the oil but there is a slight sheen of coolant on the top if I let it sit long enough.
also this is my first day on here by move post you mean re write it in the 6.0 section correct?

Definitely rewrite the post in the 6.0 section. It will get a bunch more traffic. It could be the oil cooler instead of a head gasket, at least hope it is. Welcome to FTE.
