I’m new to this. I bought a 1965 F 100 5 years ago.it had a 352 FE and I had the engine worked at a machine shop. The engine was bad and they found me a 1964 390 FE Engine that came out of an 64 mercury marauder and I paid to have it completely done with new parts. The engine shop assured me the 390 was exactly the same size as the 352. My engine mounts do not line up I’ve tried several auto shops and we can’t find the correct ones. ALSO the original transmission is low geared. Someone put a 4 speed transmission that has a creeper gear. It low low range.is there a reasonable alternative. The engine shop charged me way way to much and cash is getting tight.
