I dropped the tank and the fuel pickup is in many pieces. There was nothing but a clamp on the fuel pickup. I ordered a new one from diesel orings and it will be here by the weekend. My question is since I can’t measure the from the mounting plate to the bottom of the pickup is there a standard measurement? I read four post and videos and there were 3 different measurements. I was considering I would place the hose and pick up on the mount and then place it in the tank and push it down flush as if it was installed. Then remove it and adjust it up 1/4 of an inch. That will give me a quarter of an inch from the bottom when installed. I’m open to good ideas. Thanks.
If the new pick up breaks up in the future once you’ve run the tube down low to the bottom of the tank then you take the chance of sucking up some pieces and plugging the line.
