Recently picked up a 69 F100 stepside with a 240 L6. The installed carb is a newer Henkyo Autolite 1100 manual choke but I’m having issues with the throttle sticking and suspect the wrong carb is installed.
How do I figure out if the carb should be the Autolite 1100 or the Carter YF?
Any advice and recommendations are more than welcome.
I believe this is a quote from Number Dummy from this site. "According to the Master Parts Catalog, 65-69's used Ford 1101's or Holley 1V's. 70-72 used Carter YF's"
You have a Chinese copy of a Ford 1100. You might be better off getting an original Ford 1100/Carter YF rebuilt from a quality parts store, a new Holley 1V, or a professionally blueprinted carb from one of the specialty carb shops. NOT Evilbay.
