New (remanufactured) motor installed and have questions

I have just installed a remanufactured 4.6L engine in my 2010 F-150 and I need to crank it for a bit to build oil pressure without it starting (?). How do I get the motor to not start when I crank it over.

Many folks have had starting problems before with fuse 27 (fuel pump) bad. I’d say the easiest solution is to remove fuse 27 and crank away….

Otherwise, disconnect the fuel line or remove the coils/plug wires but obviously more work.

X2 on removing fuse 27, under hood fuse box on top of the radiator, power fuel pump relay.

If it’s like the 5.4 just disconnect the crank sensor
