weird problem
the digital odometer display on my 01 F150 xlt cuts out every now and then. The odo still keeps track of mileage, but the display goes blank for about 3 minutes, then comes back.

Any ideas?

Could be a loose connection or something bigger. You're not the only one with this problem. I just tap on the plastic cover and that usually works. Or ignore it.

I had the same thing happen. Ford changed the instrument cluster under warranty. Problem solved.
