So recently I changed the starter and while doing so I accidentally arced it. After I got it replaced I have 0 power to my fuel pump? It just crank no starts but will run off ether so I know I have spark and air. I’ve tried requiring the starter, switched the horn and fuel pump relay, new icm, resetting the inertia switch. The only thing I can think at this point is a new fuel pump but it seems weird to me that it would just cut out like that with no issues before hand. It couldn’t be the fuel selector switch either as I do not have one because it’s a single rear tank.
For testing, you can try forcing the fuel pump on using a jumper wire. This will cause the fuel pump to run any time the ignition is on, bypassing the computers control over the fuel pump. The pump doesn't turn on when you use the jumper wire, then you know it's not the computer.

is that just by the fender on the driver side?
also would that be ok to drive with if it was just to get it back to my house? It’s probably about a 10 minute drive.

ok I was doing some research…is it possible I burnt up the fuesable link that goes from the starter solenoid to the relay?

If you shorted the circuit, then the answer is yes, you could have blown the link. HOWEVER, if you did, then I would think that your starter wouldn't be working either.

I think I’m going to check this tonight cause I know for a fact when I changed the started I did arc it…and previously I had 0 fuel pump issues

I don't know how monkeyed with my brother's truck is (was an old farm truck) but his fusible link to the fuel pump relay was blown and his starter still worked.
Fuel pump is powered by Fuse O in the fuse box under the hood.
ok so after digging around I have discover the the wiring harness from inside the cab under the dash (brown wire with white stripe) is not getting power which is the power wire for the fuel pump correct? The fuel pump relay in the fuse box by the fender is clicking

im also getting the 542 code what exactly does that mean? Or does that not really help me out?
The Brown/White wires does provide power to the rear tank. It is after the tank selector tank switch if you have two tanks. Code 542 indicates the computer is not sensing power after the fuel pump relay when the relay is supposed to be energized. Could be an open fuel tank selector switch, open circuit to the fuel pump, open windings in the fuel pump or poor ground for the pump.

so it’s a single rear tank, does that pretty much limit what could be wrong to between the wiring from the outlet of the relay to the plug for the fuel pump? With a test light I get no power to the plug that connects to the one on the fuel pump

also where are the grounds for the fuel pump located?
