DOVE-C vs D3VE-A2A, again

My very experienced Ford buddy says I will have a better running, more powerful, less detonating engine if I run the 75 cc DOVE heads and order my pistons dished to achieve a good street compression ratio, say 9.5, than if I run the 95 cc D3 heads with more of a flat top piston at the same compression ratio. He also feels pretty strongly that the standard Weiand Stealth manifold seems to work better than most of the other manifolds out there for a street 460 assuming an appropriate cam.

Is the stock '77 Lincoln manifold good for anything or should I just throw it away?

Any and all comments will be much appreciated.

I have heard that the other way around is a better set-up because the flat top piston causes some turbulance of the compressed charge when it reaches TDC. I have a 460 with 75cc heads and need to know the same thing before rebuilding.

I just talked with another experienced Ford performance guy whose name I got out of the back of the Ford SVO catalog and he confirfed my buddies opinion very emphatically: Use the DOVE heads with the TRW L2404 dished piston to make strong streetable power. He also recommended slightly larger valves like 2.2/ 1.75 if I remember correctly.
