Abs brake problem 2008 f350 v10
#2
do you have any ABS codes in the computer? You’ll need a pro level code reader as the cheap ones only usually do emissions. Pull codes. It’s either gonna be a bad ABS sensor or the ABS module.
Go disconnect one of the ABS sensors. This will cause a fault in the ABS system and disable the ABS portion. You’ll still have brakes but the abs won’t kick on. Apply brakes normally. If the car slows and stops normally brakes don’t lock up you most likely have a bad ABS sensor. A bad ABS sensor sends erroneous info to the computer and it sees a variance in the wheel speed front to back and side to side and thinks the brakes are about to lock up.
