Edge CTS3 Fuel Rate

While changing some settings on the Edge CTS3 I found a new one I hadn't seen before and it's listed as fuel rate lb/h. I can't find anything on the edge website to explain what that is. Is fuel really measured in pounds per hour? If so, the 7.3 uses a tremendous amount of it lol. Going up a hill in the eighth gear at about 50 it went as high as 52

Gas engine injectors are rated in pounds (of fuel they are capable of flowing at a specific duty cycle) per hour.

4 pounds per hour is a little over 5/8 of a gallon per hour. 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon per hour at idle is perfectly normal.

Well that's interesting, I didn't know that. I wouldn't have thought a liquid would be measured in pounds. But I'm no engineer

PSI is Pounds per Square Inch and the gas injectors are rated at Pounds per Hour instead. Everything is checked in PSI still if there is an issue. Lbs/hr doesn't really help diagnose a problem unless you know what normal is and it isnt normal. PSI should be constant all the time while the flow rate Pounds per Hour will change with fuel demand. If you lose PSI you most likely have a leak.
