FE engine ID
i have an engine in a 76 4x4 i bought, the engine was fresh but "somone" didnt tighten the head gaskets. i know its an FE but the bore is 4.23 and the stroke is 3.78 is this a 428 with a .010 overbore?

A 428 has a 4.13 bore and a 3.98 stroke. The 4.23 bore was only in the 427 engine with the 3.78 stroke. The engine was actually 425 cubic inches. If that is the actual specs you have a rare engine -post on the FE forum and see what happens!
