propane conversion

I just bought an 82 F150 with a 300 six. I would like to eventually rebuild the engine and convert it to propane. Does anyone out there have any experience in this area? If so, what are your thoughts?

That's good to know. I was interested because I once had the pleasure of driving an F350 from Wyoming to Indiana and (most of the way) back without having to stop for fuel once. I'm sure that the multiple 30 gallon tanks in back were illegal, but it made for a quick trip nonetheless.
