Permission?
There you go. Looks like the same info that anyone has access to but I’ve never been allowed to view it.
I think you’re correct, but on a cell phone, it’s easier to remain on the same forum and click on the various links instead of shuffling through forums.

Thank you for providing the link, and bringing the issue to our attention.
@Tpayne621
Thank you for testing the link, and confirming that you don't have permission to see it either.
The reason why neither of you have permission to see the link is because a former moderator deleted the content.
Since only moderators can see what is inside the dumpster of deleted content, it makes since that the link returns a message that additional privileges are needed to see it.
I will investigate the matter further by reviewing the content that was deleted, and comparing it with content that remains available to access, and may reach out to the former moderator as well.
I would like to replace the link that leads to the lack of access message, with a new link that leads to what you are looking for. I just need some time to figure out why the previous moderator deleted the link.
In the meantime, try the same link now, and see if my seat of the pants guess at a solution works.
Thank you.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
The 3 resources that you identified as non functional..
- FordEtis
- Ford Parts Look-Up by VIN & Model
- Ford TSB & Wiring Diagram Database
... were subscription based data services that FTE no longer has access to.
Well over 10 years ago, FTE offered a rich resource of Ford service related information as a function of IB subscribing to an "All-Data" type of provider. Moreover, it was common for members to use the forums to request Ford OASIS (Online Automotive Service Information System) reports from resident dealer service technicians who had privileged access to Ford's database.
For various reasons left up to your imagination, all of these informational resources were withdrawn from FTE, and the use of the open forums to request or offer OASIS reports was banned.
IB also discontinued subscription to the data service providing the technical information for Fords.
Separate and apart from the foregoing...
I've been working on a new Excursion Tech Folder behind the scenes since the first of the year.
The current Excursion Tech Folder is an older format, and differs quite a bit from how the 99-03 7.3L Tech Folder has evolved into more category specific divisions.
While slowly revising the 7.3L Tech Folder over the last 3 years, the last time I modified the Excursion Tech Folder format was when I repaired the faulty UBB code that cascaded all the links into a mess about 5 years ago (in the background).
Because this errant UBB code error line indent cascading effect is so easy to make, but so difficult (time consuming and arduous) to repair, where one "}" instead of a "]" can essentially garble the entire list of links, I've been modeling different ways of formatting... to retain the visual organization and logical location of links, while reducing the risk of a coding error that unravels the list.
Since the 1999-2016 Tech Folder also needs revamping, the new tech folder format will be applied there as well.
But you have assured me that it will be given new life to continue on as intended.Meanwhile, I sent a direct message to WE3Z to add these links (below), and the direct PDF to the folder. I could not attach a "PDF file" within the private message. I should be able to here. There are 3 other informative PDF's at the bottom of the powerstrokediesel.com main page that would be another great add in to the tech folder.
I plan to research the engine replacement part numbers to see whats avail before I buy any more parts for mine.
